I only started drinking coffee at 20. My youthful energy seemed to wear thin during semester 2 of university. Calculus had me reciting subjects I have never seen before. Perhaps I needed something to see the derivatives a little more clearly.
My buddy Scott suggested it pre-class. I was game for anything at that point, especially the free things. He asked me what I wanted, and I answered, "just coffee". Apparently back then I thought that was the order for everyone. You want a coffee; you order a fucking coffee. He recited the question again, and I answered again with "just coffee". He sighed, then ordered what would potentially be my forever order. It's been 7 years and I have never been as adventurous enough to dabble in new. It's the type of coffee that doesn't reply with enigma. A monotone Monday, that speaks the baseline for all days after. I never wanted a fuss either. Or inconvenience to the one making it, by adding extra steps. But yes, full cream please.
